The final assignment for this class was to create a call-to-action poster using Adobe Illustrator. Sensible drug policy has always been an interest of mine, and when doing this project, I studied anti-drug campaigns from the 1960s to the 2000s. I wanted to create a spin in which, rather than insight fear, the marijuana leaf and psilocybin mushroom are more cartoon-like and friendly. The "Vote to" button in the top left is a remix of Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" pins. For this project, I did some basic image tracing, line work, and typography while learning the importance of layering in the background.
