Hello! My name is Cleo Saliano Pool, and I am studying Journalism and Graphic Design at American University. I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago and moved to DC to study and pursue my passion for journalism. Over my five years in the field, I’ve covered drug policy in the US, elections, and environmental news. 

Currently, I am working for the Investigative Reporting Workshop, a nonprofit newsroom housed at American University. I am their graphic design intern and I handle their data visuals, website, and any additional graphics needed for stories or marketing. 

I was ranked 7th in IHSA state for newspaper design, worked as both a magazine designer and social media director for Her Campus at AU, and worked as a communications intern for Magnetar Capital in Evanston, IL. On this site you'll find an archive of my work from the start of my career to some of the work I've done thus far in college.
